UfarmX began in the fields, not a boardroom. During COVID-19, our founder, Alexander Zanders, started a farm in Nigeria and discovered local farmers struggled with low yields due to a lack of inputs, financing, and market access.
We launched a pilot—providing inputs on credit, technical support, and direct buyer linkages. Yields tripled, revenues doubled, and default rates stayed under 10%, outperforming banks. From this success, UfarmX was born.
Our patented technology assesses farmer creditworthiness using geospatial and socioeconomic data, unlocking financing without collateral.
